Dedicated to you

I wrote you a word
with my favorite blue pen
three words actually but i didn't start counting 
until that word turned into a sentence 
and that sentence turned into a paragraph 
and that paragraph turned into a letter
and that letter turned into a short story
and that short story turned into a seven hundred page novel
that i dedicated to you 
but unfortunately 
it was written with your least favorite shade
of blue
